The Story
Where do we even begin with this couple?! When we first met Caity and Bennett, we quickly realized that they are some of the kindest and loving people we have ever met - their wedding day definitely proved that. Their wedding took us out of Saint Louis and into the mountains to the beautiful, small town of Julian, California. Since we were lucky enough to travel and shoot alongside our good friends Katie and Forbis of Vein + Vessel, we even got to explore San Diego and Julian before the wedding. And let us tell you.. Julian is amazing! Such a beautiful, quiet town to have a wedding and home to some incredible pie.
Everything about Caity and Bennett's wedding day just felt right, and capturing their love was so natural and effortless. Just a short walk from where they got married on the top of a mountain, they partied the night away with their closest family, friends, and also brick oven pizza made on the spot. Yes we are serious, and yes it was delicious. During the reception Caity and Bennett had eight speeches, which is quite a bit more than we are used to, but wow are these two are loved. Each person giving a speech had infinite nice things to say about Caity and Bennett individually, but also their love together. They truly were surrounded by everyone that loved them the most.
The sun started to set perfectly behind the mountains and we all knew it had to be captured. Caity and Bennett snuck away to the valley where they were able to take a minute to themselves and really take in the fact that they were married! It was such a perfect moment and so much fun to capture.
